AnakJajan are very excited to share with you this newly opened kawaii cafe at Elang Laut Pantai Indah Kapuk Area, Itadakimasu.
It is no longer a secret that PIK area is very famous for its row of restaurants and cafes and we must say that almost every time we pass by this area, there’s always a new place. And recently Elang Laut area of PIK has begun to develop with so many new restaurants and cafe just like Itadakimasu.
Itadakimasu is a very cute cafe with mostly Japanese food and dessert. The interior is very kawaii or cute with colorful decor and mural drawing of their brown teddy bear mascot everywhere. AnakJajan were very excited to visit this cafe when we saw their cute decor and menu on instagram, I even painted my nails with panda design to match one of their signature menu. :)
Salmon Mentai Aburi Roll R IDR 40k/ J IDR 75k
Biggest sushi roll ever with half broiled salmon, crunchy tempura flakes, creamy mayonnaise, tobiko or fish roe, zucchini, carrot, lettuce. Sushi rice was nicely seasoned while the combination between filling was complimenting each other with crunchy and creamy texture. Definitely one of the most recommended menu here.
Dynamite IDR 32k
Mix of broiled savory salmon cubes, shitake, shimeji mushroom and enoki mushroom topped with spicy mayo. A lil bit salty but taste was pretty nice.
Tanpeiyaki IDR 32k
Tender and thinly sliced pork belly was well marinated in Itadakimasu’s secret sauce and then topped with omelette and mayonnaise.
Gyu Tan Don IDR 48k
For those who don’t know, Gyu Tan Don is a thinly sliced beef marinated and cooked in savory seasoning and served over rice. The beef tongue at Itadakimasu was nicely cooked, it was tender and full of flavor, as for spiciness they use chopped chili where you can choose three level of spiciness from level 1 until 3.
Sleeping Panda IDR 48k
Yawnnn!! Pandas are sleeping inside warm omelette blanket, so please do not disturb :)
As I said earlier, Itadakimasu serves several cute looking dishes just like this one that looks like two panda sleeping inside blanket, so cute isn’t it? It is actually consist of salmon and prawn butter rice covered with omelette and curry sauce.
Greedy Teddy IDR 56k
This menu consist of Gyudon, Salmon with Mayonnaise over rice and Chicken Katsudon. It is definitely a menu for greedy person because you can have 3 different dishes with 3 different meat chicken, salmon and beef in one menu. Three of these dishes were pleasant but we love the Chicken Katsudon the most, deep fried chicken cutlet and egg cooked in sweet yet salty broth and placed over rice.
Starving Panda IDR 48k
These little pandas are too cute to be eaten!! The pandas are starving and super hungry they are willing to dip into hot curry sauce in order to reach the yummy chicken katsu.
Almost everyone that went to Itadakimasu ordered this menu during our visit simply because it is so hard to resist the cuteness and of course it is superrr instagenic that I bet some of you ordered this because you want to capture and post it on your instagram rite?? :)
Well taste wise was pretty nice, chicken katsu was nicely fried till crunchy while the curry tasted the same as Sleeping Panda menu, light with a lil bit of tangy flavor. And also these little pandas are sushi rice seasoned with typical salty sweet sour sushi seasoning.
Orange Yakult, Strawberry Yakult, Melon Yakult IDR 24k
Sweet Drugs Churros IDR 35k
Sweet churros with 3 injections chocolate sauce, matcha greentea, and sweet cheese. The churros were pretty nice, hot fluffy yet crunchy, don’t forget to inject the sauce inside churros.
Mizu Mochi IDR 32k
Itadakimasu makes their own soft serve ice cream and also regular ice cream on daily basis with different flavor everyday for example one of the soft cream flavor available during our visit is Taro Soft Cream for Mizu Mochi menu served with bouncy water mochi with crushed peanut, maple syrup. The taro soft cream was smooth, very milky and creamy with bold taro aroma.
Ice Cream Sandwich Churros IDR 30k
Homemade ice cream sandwiched with two round shaped churros. The ice cream was cookies and cream, very smooth and not overly sweet.
Nutella Croissant Taiyaki IDR 25k
This was my most favorite menu. Taiyaki or fish shaped cake with melted nutty Nutella inside. The texture of Taiyaki was very unique with enjoyable flaky crunchy texture because they use croissant pastry dough, besides Nutella, they also have savory version with Tuna filling.
Overall, Itadakimasu is one the most kawaii places in Jakarta with its cutesy interior, concept and cute looking dishes. Taste of the food was also good enough we are very sure that this place will definitely explode in social media in an instant. Let’s Jajan!!
